Afro-Arab Properties has officially commenced construction of a new 30-unit, three-bedroom housing project at Community 22 Annex in Accra, in a development set to be named in honour of Ghanaian broadcaster and musician Blakk Rasta.
The sod-cutting ceremony, led by the President of Afro-Arab Group, Ambassador Alhaji Salamu Amadu, marks the beginning of the residential development, which the company says is designed to make homeownership more accessible to individuals and families.
A Flexible Route to Homeownership
A key feature of the project is its proposed payment structure.
According to Afro-Arab Properties, prospective homeowners can begin with GH₵10,000 and make gradual payments until they reach the required 40 per cent down payment. Once the 40 per cent has been paid, buyers can move into their three-bedroom homes and settle the remaining balance over five years without interest.
The model is aimed at easing the pressure of making a large upfront payment, while giving buyers a structured pathway towards owning and occupying their homes.
Homeownership Comes With an EV
In an additional offering, Afro-Arab Properties says homeowners under the project will also receive a brand-new electric vehicle (EV) as part of the package. The inclusion of an EV adds a distinctive element to the development and reflects the growing interest in electric mobility and more sustainable living solutions within Ghana's property market.
Project Named After Blakk Rasta
The 30-unit development will be named in honour of Blakk Rasta, a prominent Ghanaian broadcaster and musician. The decision gives the project a cultural identity while connecting the development to a well-known Ghanaian creative personality.
